WELCOME TO the:

small ruminant center

Intrigued by goats and their captivating nature? Well, it’s time to go back to Kammy’s home and visit the Small Ruminant Center!

The Small Ruminant Center of CLSU is a goat paradise for you to enjoy! This small place all started because of a research and development project where they introduced goats to the Philippine agriculture industry back in 1983. Since then, they have been improving the recognition of goats and the products made by goats in the market. They currently house around 200+ goats in their facility, where they are raised and bred for different things like milk and meat!

Their tour is very insightful and all-around fun! You get to see up close all the different breeds of goats and even get to feed them and pet their heads! If you’re lucky, one or two baby goats, also called kids, can run up to you and be curious about the new human in their vicinity. They’re so cute!! The area where they grow their feed can also be seen at the center, with different kinds of tall leafy plants, legumes, and even grass.

Ever been curious about how goat milk tastes? Look no further, they have their own dairy store in their main building. They sell all sorts of stuff, from milk, ice cream, and even a variety of flavored goat milk ice candy, which is super sweet!

A short journey home always refreshes the mind, but it’s time to get back and at them! Before you go, Kammy’s family has a memento over in the main building for you to collect! So head on over and maybe grab a treat before you go.
